Chatrandom alternative

Chatrandom is a filter-first random video chat site — its own front page advertises gender and country filtering and a handful of chat modes. Spoqi is the opposite shape: no filters at all, and the effort spent on what is checked instead.

The trade, stated plainly

Filters are genuinely useful and Spoqi does not have them. Pairing is with whoever is waiting, longest wait first. You are told which country the other person is connecting from once you are paired, and nothing else about them.

The reason is that filters worth having need accounts, and accounts need a persistent record of you. Spoqi's whole position is that it holds nearly nothing — a random id in a cookie, and an address only where a ban is involved. That is a real cost, not a clever trick.

What we spent it on instead

• A check before anything is sent. A model runs on your own device and cuts your camera in about a second if it sees nudity. Those frames never leave your machine.
• A second check that issues bans. On our servers, because anything on your own computer can be modified by whoever owns it.
• A closer look once there is a reason. One flagged frame is a warning, not a ban — but from that moment you are checked more often, which is what catches somebody who stops when they think nobody is watching.
• Nothing recorded. No video, no screenshots, no transcript.

Spoqi is not Chatrandom. We are a separate, independent service with no affiliation to it, and no connection to whoever runs it. We name it here because it is what people are looking for when they find this page.
