Spoqi vs Emerald Chat: more features, or fewer on purpose
This is the comparison where the other service plainly has more, and pretending otherwise would be silly. Emerald Chat has accounts, a karma system, interest matching, gender filtering, group text rooms and profiles. Spoqi has a button.
What Emerald built
Emerald's karma system is the interesting part. After a conversation you rate the other person, and your accumulated score shapes who you get matched with — high-karma users are paired with each other, and a poor score restricts you. It is a real attempt at making a random pool self-improving, and it needs accounts to work, because a reputation that resets when you close the tab is not a reputation.
They also offer interest matching, so you land on people who picked the same tags, and paid accounts can filter by gender.

Why Spoqi has none of it
Every one of those features needs an account, and an account needs a record of you that persists. Spoqi's whole position is that it holds nearly nothing: a random id in a cookie your browser keeps, and an address only where a ban is involved. There is no profile, no history and nothing to leak, because there is nothing to leak from.
That is a real cost, not a clever trick. Without accounts there is no reputation, so a badly-behaved person on Spoqi is caught by automated checks and reports rather than by a score that follows them around. We think the automated checks carry that weight. Emerald made a different bet and theirs is not unreasonable.
Which to use
If you want to be matched with people who share your interests, and you do not mind making an account to get it, Emerald is the better fit and you should use it. If the appeal is opening a tab and talking to somebody thirty seconds later without handing over an email address, that is what Spoqi is.
